      First gained prominence for his striking color photography on Michelangelo Antonioni's "Red Desert" (1964) and "Blow-Up" (1966). Di Palma's other notable collaborations include Elio Petri's debut feature "The Assassin" (1961). More recently, he has worked on several films directed by Woody Allen, including "Hannah and Her Sisters" (1986), "Radio Days" (1987), "Husbands and Wives" (1992) and "Bullets Over Broadway" (1994). Di Palma made his directing debut with "Teresa la ladra" (1973), photographed by his nephew, Dario di Palma ("The Clowns" 1970, "The Seduction of Mimi" 1972, etc.).
